The Ump Was Blind As a Bat

Conversation participants:
Daddy (Age: 33)
A.J. (Age: 5)
Location: In the yard

Daddy: A.J., since we'll be playing real baseball in the spring, maybe we should go the batting cages and work on catching and throwing this fall
A.J.: Well, what do you mean real baseball?
Daddy: I mean we'll have outs. You'll get three strikes. We'll keep score.
A.J.: Oh yeah. And there will be vampires.
Daddy: Do you mean umpires?
A.J.: I don't know. What's the difference?
Daddy: Hmmm...
